When you order a website, almost all the talk is about the launch. But what weighs most day to day is what comes after: who changes what, who fixes what, and who owns what. Here is how I work.

On day one

I hand over the site with an admin panel and a guide in plain words, written for you and your team, one task at a time. The idea is that you do not depend on me for the day to day.

What you do

You change text, pages and photos yourself, in the panel, without writing to me and without waiting for anyone. You can see what it is like in the demo panel.

What you ask me for

When you need a change you cannot make in the panel, or a new feature, you talk to me. Small changes usually take days; bigger ones we agree case by case, with a clear timeline before we start.

And maintenance?

What maintenance includes we agree at the start, depending on the project. It can include:

  • security updates;
  • backups, and checking they can be restored;
  • fixing what I built;
  • letting you know when the domain and certificate are due for renewal;
  • small content or layout changes, when you cannot make them in the panel.

What is left out, and quoted separately, is what is new: features that do not exist yet. I also do not write your business's content, and I cannot fix failures of third-party services, such as an email or hosting provider.

Who owns what

If you want a project where I build it and then we go our separate ways, the code is yours once the full price is paid. The data lives in the project's database, and hosting depends on what we agree.

The manager's guide shows, step by step, what you would do in your own panel.
