1See what is in the admin
Open the demo admin. The menu has four areas: Pages, for the site's text; Menu, for the dishes; History, to see who changed what; and Backups. Whenever you want a fresh start, press Reset demo.
2Edit a page
In Pages, press Edit on the page you want to change. Write the title and text in Portuguese and in English, then press Save. A message confirms it, and the change goes into the history.
Tip: the admin tells you when you have unsaved changes, so nothing is lost by accident.
3Never leave English blank
In the page list, the status shows EN missing when a page only has Portuguese. Open it and try to save without writing the English: the admin will not let you, because English may never be blank where Portuguese has text.
4Manage the menu
In Menu, use Add a dish to create a dish with a name in Portuguese and English, a price and a category. Each dish has a Hide or Publish button: hidden dishes do not show to visitors of the site.
Nothing is lost: hiding a dish does not delete it. It comes back when you press Publish.
5See the history and the backups
The History shows who changed what, and when: your actions in this visit appear next to a few examples. In Backups you see the last backup and can make one right now; on a real project the site saves one every night. If something goes wrong, write to me and I will restore it. I reply by the next business day.
